Sparrks

About us

We built Sparrks to answer this one, pressing question:

Can business coaching be results-oriented?

And if yes, how much can you optimise and scale it?

Sparrks was conceived on a string of Sunday brunches where we found ourselves frequently griping about work challenges.

We had both been consulting on change implementations. It occurred to us that when it comes to making change happen, you can have all your Excel sheets and track all the activities. But at the end of the day, it’s about making people move, and effectively at that.

We had both been trainers at Bain. We had developed trainings together. With deep exposure to personal development in the corporate world, we loved seeing people interested in self-development become more effective leaders.

Then Covid hit and all our teams were working crazy hours from home. And we asked ourselves:

What could we give our teams so that they could become more engaged?

In all our years in leadership development and consulting, we had experienced the upskill and motivation surge that coaching can generate, particularly when working with some of the world’s finest systemic coaches on the executive floor.

We also knew that better leadership occurs when talent is coached on the relevant, specific areas that make or break a leader in the field, like delegation or effective conflict management.

Finally, we had also seen how , without a tight timeframe, coaching can become a consumption habit, rather than a catalyst for superior performance.

On one of those Sunday brunches, it dawned on us:

What if you could achieve in 4 coaching sessions as much or more than you could in a classic string of 10+?

Can business coaching be agile?
Our mission crystallized:

The development of an offer that improves leadership performance at all levels, can be easily integrated into everyday work and has an immediate and lasting impact.

The Sparrks framework for coaching

If you set yourself a clear framework in terms of content and time and focus on the most important things, business coaching becomes an incredibly effective, easy-to-integrate development tool for lower, middle and upper management.

Working with the top 5% coaches in the world, the cost per coaching minute might be higher, but you need fewer minutes. No fluff. Just pure business coaching.

Yes, but is this short, intensive coaching format sustainable?

Yes. We make practice a part of the process, not something that occurs once the coach is out the door.

The Sparrks framework combines two to four 45-minute coaching sessions with spans of practice time, where the coachee is out flexing the leadership muscle with the takeaways from the one-on-one sessions.

The results are immediately noticeable and are integrated into the behavior of the coachee throughout the entire process.

In the words of a business coach, it’s like having the coach work for your company on clear deliverables, to be achieved in sprints.

When we launched early 2021, one of our first clients was our former employer Bain.

For them, as we do for all our clients, we first piloted the offering.
